Even Democrats are finally waking up to what President Trump has known all along – Iran is a paper tiger that needs to be dealt with decisively. Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) shocked viewers on CNN's AC360 Thursday night when he declared this is the 'ideal' time for Congress to pass an Authorization for Use of Military Force (AUMF) targeting Iran's nuclear and ballistic missile programs.
Why the sudden Democrat appetite for confronting Iran? Simple – Israeli strikes last year completely obliterated Iran's air defense capabilities, leaving the terrorist regime naked and vulnerable above 10,000 feet.
'Iran is not in control of the skies, because of the Israeli strikes last year, anything above 10,000 feet, Iran really has no domain awareness and no ability,' Auchincloss admitted on national television.
This is exactly the kind of strategic opportunity that President Trump excels at exploiting. While Biden spent four years letting Iran build up their nuclear program and fund terrorism across the Middle East, Trump's strong support for Israel and 'peace through strength' doctrine has created the perfect storm to finally end the Iranian threat once and for all.
The timing couldn't be better for America First foreign policy. Iran's weakened state, combined with Trump's proven track record of decisive military action when necessary, puts the United States in the strongest position we've had against the regime in decades.
Trump's Iran Strategy Vindicated
Remember, it was Trump who took out Iran's top terrorist Qasem Soleimani and withdrew from Obama's disastrous Iran nuclear deal. Now, with Iran's air defenses in shambles and their proxy networks under pressure, the Trump administration has a golden opportunity to permanently neutralize their nuclear ambitions.
When even Massachusetts Democrats are calling for military authorization against Iran, you know the regime's days of terrorizing the Middle East are numbered. The question isn't whether Trump will act – it's how quickly he'll move to protect American interests and our allies in the region.
