Just when you thought Hollywood celebrities couldn't get more tone-deaf, Irish rockers U2 have decided to join Bruce Springsteen's anti-American crusade against immigration enforcement. The band that once sang about pride and love has now released a surprise EP called "Days of Ash" that includes a tribute to anti-ICE activist Renee Good.
The timing couldn't be more insulting to law-abiding Americans. As President Trump's administration begins the largest deportation operation in U.S. history to remove criminal illegal aliens from our communities, these millionaire musicians are literally singing the praises of those who worked to obstruct federal immigration law.
U2's latest stunt appears to be nothing more than virtue signaling copycat behavior. After watching "The Boss" get fawning coverage from the mainstream media for his anti-ICE rants, Bono and company apparently wanted their piece of the liberal praise pie. Because nothing says "authentic artistry" like jumping on the trendy cause of the moment, right?
Out of Touch Elites Attack Border Security
Here's what these wealthy rock stars don't understand: ICE agents are heroes who risk their lives daily to protect American families from drug dealers, human traffickers, and violent criminals who have no right to be here. While U2 sits in their gated mansions, working-class Americans deal with the real consequences of illegal immigration - depressed wages, overwhelmed schools, and dangerous criminals in their neighborhoods.
The irony is thick. A band from Ireland - a country with strict immigration controls - is lecturing America about being too tough on border security. Maybe Bono should worry about his own country's policies before attacking ours.
This is exactly why Trump's mandate is so clear. Americans are sick and tired of being lectured by out-of-touch celebrities who live in ivory towers while ordinary citizens suffer the consequences of open borders chaos. Every time these elites attack ICE, they're essentially telling American families that their safety doesn't matter.
Patriots didn't vote for mass deportations to hear sanctimonious rock stars whine about it. We voted for results. And unlike these aging rockers desperately clinging to relevance, President Trump actually delivers on his promises to put America First.
