DISAPPOINTING: Speaker Johnson REFUSES to Fight for Trump's Tariffs After Supreme Court Sabotage

House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) delivered a crushing blow to President Trump's America First agenda Monday, essentially surrendering to the Supreme Court's attack on Trump's tariff strategy without putting up a fight.

After the Supreme Court struck down the majority of Trump's tariffs against foreign trade partners on Friday, Johnson told reporters he thinks it would be "difficult to agree on a way forward" for tariffs in Congress. Difficult? This is exactly the kind of establishment thinking that got us into this mess in the first place.

President Trump's tariffs were working. They were bringing manufacturing jobs back to America, forcing China to play fair, and putting American workers first. But instead of rallying Republicans to codify these successful policies into law, Johnson is already waving the white flag.

Where's the MAGA Fighting Spirit?

This is precisely why the American people are fed up with establishment Republicans who campaign on conservative principles but fold like cheap suits when it's time to actually fight. Trump didn't get elected twice to watch his signature economic policies get dismantled by activist judges while his own party shrugs their shoulders.

"The American people voted for tariffs. They voted for America First trade policy. Speaker Johnson needs to remember who put him in that chair,"

said one frustrated House conservative who requested anonymity.

Johnson's defeatist attitude is especially infuriating when you consider that Republicans control both chambers of Congress. This should be a slam dunk – protect American jobs, stand with President Trump, and tell the globalist establishment to pound sand.

The Stakes Couldn't Be Higher

Every day Johnson delays means more American jobs shipped overseas, more unfair competition from China, and more victories for the very swamp creatures Trump was elected to drain. The President is fighting on multiple fronts to deliver on his promises, and he deserves better than fair-weather allies who buckle under the first sign of resistance.

Patriots need to light up Johnson's phone lines and demand he fight for the America First agenda that won Republicans their majority. Will Johnson step up and lead, or will he let the Supreme Court and globalist interests steamroll the will of the American people?

Can someone explain how the Supreme Court got involved in this? I thought tariffs were an executive branch power.

Good question - I'm confused about the legal mechanics here too. Need more details on what exactly happened.

This is exactly why we can't trust the GOP establishment. They talk big during campaigns but fold like cheap suits when it matters.

I've been competing against cheap Chinese imports for 15 years. These tariffs could have finally leveled the playing field for American businesses like mine. So disappointed in Johnson's lack of leadership.

The swamp runs deeper than we thought if even our own Speaker won't stand up to judicial activism. We need fighters, not politicians.

Absolutely disgusting! Johnson is proving once again that the establishment GOP has no backbone when it comes to fighting for America First policies.

Couldn't agree more. We need leaders who will actually FIGHT, not roll over every time.

My husband works in manufacturing and these tariffs would have protected his job and thousands of others. Why won't our own party fight for American workers?
