SHAMEFUL: Women's Hockey Team SNUBS Trump's State of the Union Invite While Men's Team Shows CLASS

The stark difference between patriotism and woke politics was on full display Monday as America's Olympic hockey teams responded to President Trump's invitation to attend tonight's State of the Union address.

While the U.S. men's hockey team graciously accepted the President's offer to be honored guests at the historic speech, the women's team delivered a cold shoulder that would make even their Canadian opponents blush.

The women's team claimed they couldn't attend due to "previously scheduled academic and professional commitments" - a convenient excuse that fools absolutely no one. Really? Every single player on the team suddenly has unmovable commitments on the same night as the President's most important speech of the year?

This is the same playbook we've seen from entitled athletes before. Remember when the women's soccer team turned their backs on America while representing us on the world stage? Now we're witnessing hockey's version of anti-Trump virtue signaling.

Tale of Two Teams

The contrast couldn't be more obvious. The men's team, fresh off their own gold medal victory, understood what an honor it is to be personally invited by the President of the United States. They recognized that accepting the invitation shows respect not just for Trump, but for the office itself and the American people who cheered them to victory.

Meanwhile, the women's team chose to play politics with what should have been a moment of national celebration. Their gold medal victory against Canada should have been a unifying moment for all Americans - instead, they've turned it into another divisive cultural battleground.

Patriots across the country are asking the obvious question: If these players can't even show basic respect for the President who's putting America First, why should we celebrate their victories as American triumphs?

The men's hockey team will be sitting in the House chamber tonight as honored guests, representing the best of American sportsmanship and patriotism. The women's team? They'll be wherever woke athletes go to sulk about having a president who actually loves this country.

Which team truly deserves our respect and admiration?

The men's team gets it - you're representing America, not your personal political views. Kudos to them for having integrity.

Absolutely disgraceful behavior from the women's team. The men showed real class and respect for the office, regardless of politics. This is what representing your country should look like!

Exactly! Politics aside, you show respect for the presidency and the invitation.

Why would you turn down an invitation to the White House? My grandfather would be rolling over in his grave - he fought in WWII and would have considered this the highest honor.

Same here. My dad served 20 years in the Army and always taught us to respect the office even if you don't like the person in it.

Don't these women realize they're funded by taxpayer dollars through USA Hockey? Show some gratitude and respect to the country that made your dreams possible.

This is exactly what's wrong with sports today. Everything has to be political now instead of just celebrating athletic achievement.

Been watching hockey for 40 years and this kind of disrespect never would have flown back in the day. Athletes understood they were role models.
