Three weeks into his second term, President Trump is already facing heat from his most loyal supporters over a glaring contradiction between his campaign promises and his administration's inaction on regulating the deadly abortion drug mifepristone.

Despite repeatedly vowing to be a pro-life "ally" throughout the 2024 campaign, the Trump administration's FDA appears to be slow-walking its promised review of mifepristone—the chemical abortion pill that has sent thousands of women to emergency rooms and claimed countless unborn lives.

Pro-life leaders in Congress and red states are growing increasingly frustrated with what they see as bureaucratic foot-dragging on an issue that should be a no-brainer for any administration that claims to value women's safety and the sanctity of life.

Where's the Urgency, Mr. President?

This isn't just about politics—it's about life and death. Mifepristone has a documented history of serious complications, including severe bleeding, incomplete abortions requiring emergency surgery, and even maternal deaths. Yet the FDA continues to treat this dangerous drug with kid gloves while American women pay the price.

"The Trump administration promised they would be different from the Biden regime's reckless approach to women's health," said one frustrated House Republican who spoke on condition of anonymity. "But right now, it looks like the same bureaucrats are calling the shots."

Pro-life states that went to bat for Trump in 2024 are also questioning whether their trust was misplaced. These states have been fighting an uphill battle against the abortion industry's lies, and they expected a Trump FDA to have their backs—not maintain the status quo.

Time for Action, Not Excuses

Patriots who voted for Trump didn't elect him to play patty-cake with the abortion lobby. They elected him to drain the swamp and protect innocent life. Every day this administration delays action on mifepristone is another day women remain at risk and babies die.

The question now is whether President Trump will honor his commitments to the pro-life movement, or if he'll let the administrative state continue enabling the abortion industry's deadly agenda. The clock is ticking, and his base is watching.

We need to keep the pressure on. Start calling your representatives and demand action on this issue before it's too late.

Can someone explain why the FDA approval process is taking so long to reverse? Is this a legal issue or just bureaucratic incompetence?

This is why we can't just vote and walk away. We have to stay engaged and make sure our elected officials follow through on their commitments to protect life.

The deep state is clearly working against Trump on this issue. He needs to clean house at the FDA and get people in there who actually share our values!

I voted for Trump specifically because of his pro-life stance. My church group is going to be devastated when they hear about this betrayal. We put our trust in him to protect the unborn.

Same here. Our pastor even endorsed him based on these promises. This is heartbreaking.

This is exactly what I was afraid of - all talk during the campaign and no action when it matters. We need to hold Trump accountable to his promises to the pro-life community!

Couldn't agree more. The pro-life movement got him elected and this is how he repays us?
