Congressional Democrats just handed President Donald Trump the most devastating visual metaphor of his presidency – and they're too blinded by their own rage to even realize it.
Dozens of elected Democrats, including serial fabricator Adam Schiff and the perpetually unhinged Maxine Waters, announced they would boycott Tuesday night's State of the Union address. Waters, in a statement dripping with the kind of arrogance that's become her trademark, declared that President Trump "doesn't deserve to be in my presence."
Let that sink in, Patriots. An elected official – whose salary is paid by hardworking American taxpayers – believes she's too good to fulfill her basic constitutional duty.
Trump's Masterstroke Response
But here's where it gets good. While Democrats were busy staging their little tantrum, President Trump was making phone calls. Kash Patel connected the President directly with Team USA's men's hockey locker room following their championship victory, and the conversation that followed was pure American greatness.
Trump didn't just congratulate the players – he invited them to fill those empty Democrat seats. He told the champions he was sending a military plane to fly them from Miami to Washington as his personal guests at the State of the Union.
The locker room erupted.
Think about that contrast for a moment. On one side of the chamber: empty seats where elected Democrats should have been honoring their oath of office. On the other: gold medal winners who just brought glory to America, military families who sacrificed for our freedom, and everyday citizens whose lives have been transformed by Trump's policies.
Real Americans, Real Stories
The guest list tells you everything you need to know about which party actually cares about the American people. Among those invited: Megan Hemphouser, a Pennsylvania waitress whose family is taking home an extra $5,000 this year thanks to Trump's no-tax-on-tips policy. A young couple who can finally afford fertility treatment through the TrumpRx initiative. Children from the First Lady's Fostering the Future program. Military heroes who served our nation with honor.
And yes, Nick Shirley – the young journalist whose undercover footage of a Minnesota learning center sent shockwaves across the nation – was also in attendance.
Even Their Own Side Is Calling Them Out
Perhaps the most brutal blow came from an unexpected source. Sports commentator Stephen A. Smith, hardly a MAGA loyalist, went on air and absolutely torched his own party for their juvenile behavior.
"If you're going to act as juvenile, as petulant, as petty as you accused the president of the United States to be, how are you ever going to hold the high moral ground?" Smith demanded. "At some point in time, there's got to be an adult in the room."
When you've lost Stephen A. Smith, you've lost the plot entirely.
Representative James Comer put it perfectly when he told Maria Bartiromo he was actually glad Democrats were boycotting. "That room gets pretty crowded," Comer said. "The less Democrats who are there disrupting, showing out, booing, having signs and making gestures – the better."
The Bigger Picture
Remember, these are the same Democrats who ripped up Trump's speech on national television. The same ones who refused to stand for Laken Riley's memory. The same people who wouldn't even acknowledge a 13-year-old brain cancer survivor.
And now they want credit for staying home?
Here's the beautiful irony the boycotting Democrats completely missed: they literally created a visual representation of their own irrelevance. On primetime television, President Trump got to deliver his vision for America surrounded by patriots, heroes, and champion athletes – without a single Democrat interruption or eye roll to distract from his message.
Sometimes your enemies defeat themselves. That's exactly what happened Tuesday night.
So here's the question, Patriots: Do you think these Democrat boycotts helped Trump more than they hurt him? Because from where we're sitting, Maxine Waters and Adam Schiff just produced the most effective Trump campaign ad of 2026 – and they didn't even have to show up to do it.
