Team USA women's hockey captain Hilary Knight has decided to bite the hand that feeds her, launching a full-scale feminist attack on President Donald Trump after he jokingly mentioned having to invite the women's team alongside the men's team to the State of the Union address.
Knight, who became Team USA's all-time leading scorer in women's Olympic hockey in 2026, couldn't resist turning what should have been a moment of national pride into another woke lecture about imaginary oppression.
"I think that's being overshadowed by sort of a quick lapse," Knight complained, apparently referring to Trump's lighthearted comment. "We're going to have to bring the women's team," the president had said during his meeting with the men's hockey team.
But here's what Knight and her feminist allies are conveniently ignoring: Trump was actually INCLUDING the women's team, not excluding them. The president was making sure both teams would be honored at one of America's most prestigious events.
Missing the Point Entirely
Instead of showing gratitude for the presidential recognition, Knight decided to weaponize the moment. "It's a great teaching point," she declared, as if the American people need lectures from hockey players about how to think.
This is classic leftist playbook behavior – take a generous gesture, twist it into something offensive, then use it to virtue signal and play victim. Trump could cure cancer and these people would complain about putting oncologists out of work.
"We're going to have to bring the women's team" - President Trump, ensuring BOTH teams get honored
The real story here isn't Trump's supposed "distasteful" comment – it's how quickly America's athletes have been brainwashed into seeing oppression where none exists. Knight had the opportunity to graciously accept a presidential honor and instead chose to lecture the Commander-in-Chief.
Perhaps Knight should focus more on representing her country with pride and less on pushing feminist talking points. After all, it's President Trump who's giving her team the platform in the first place.
How long will Americans tolerate ungrateful athletes turning every honor into a political statement?
