Leave it to the woke left to turn a gracious presidential invitation into a feminist grievance fest. Team USA women's hockey captain Hilary Knight is throwing a public tantrum after President Donald Trump jokingly said he'd "have to bring the women's team" alongside the men to his upcoming State of the Union address.
Knight, who became Team USA's all-time leading scorer in women's Olympic hockey in 2026, couldn't just accept the honor of a presidential invitation like a normal person. Instead, she decided to lecture the Commander-in-Chief and turn what should have been a celebration into another "teaching moment" about imaginary sexism.
"I think that's being overshadowed by sort of a quick lapse," Knight whined to reporters, clearly more interested in virtue signaling than representing her country with dignity.
"We're going to have to bring the women's team," President Trump said jokingly during his meeting with the men's hockey team.
Apparently, Trump's light-hearted comment about including BOTH teams at the State of the Union was somehow "distasteful" to Knight, who saw fit to turn it into what she called "a great teaching point." Teaching point about what exactly? How to be ungrateful when the President of the United States wants to honor your achievements on the world's biggest stage?
Another Case of Trump Derangement Syndrome
This is classic Trump Derangement Syndrome in action, folks. Here we have a president who could easily just invite the men's team and call it a day, but instead chooses to include the women's team as well. And somehow, that's offensive to the woke mob.
Knight's response perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with modern feminism – finding offense where none exists and turning every interaction into a political statement. Instead of graciously accepting the honor and using the platform to inspire young athletes, she chose to attack the very man offering her that platform.
Patriots across America are getting tired of ungrateful athletes who seem more interested in pushing radical agendas than representing our great nation. Maybe Knight should focus more on being grateful for the opportunity and less on manufacturing outrage where none belongs.
