The Democrat Party's age problem just got real, folks. Rep. Seth Moulton (D-MA) has officially thrown down the gauntlet against 79-year-old Sen. Ed Markey in what's shaping up to be a brutal primary battle that exposes the deep generational divide tearing the Democratic Party apart.

Moulton, the six-term congressman, isn't pulling any punches about why he's challenging his fellow Democrat. Despite admitting he shares Markey's political views, Moulton believes it's time for "fresh blood" in a party that's become the political equivalent of a nursing home.

This isn't just about Massachusetts – it's a microcosm of the Democrats' nationwide crisis. While President Trump energizes massive crowds at 79, the Democrats are stuck with a gerontocracy that includes Nancy Pelosi (84), Chuck Schumer (75), and until recently, Joe Biden, who stepped aside after his disastrous debate performance made his cognitive decline impossible to hide.

The Democratic establishment has become so calcified, so out of touch with everyday Americans, that even their own members are staging revolts.

Markey, who first entered Congress when Jimmy Carter was president, represents everything wrong with Washington's permanent political class. He's been warming a seat in the swamp for over four decades while Massachusetts families struggle with inflation, crime, and the border crisis that Democrats created and refuse to fix.

But here's the kicker – Moulton isn't exactly the fresh face Democrats need either. He's still pushing the same failed liberal policies that have destroyed American cities and weakened our nation's standing abroad. The only difference is his birth certificate.

Meanwhile, the Trump-Vance administration continues delivering on its America First agenda with the energy and vision that comes from actual leadership, not political fossils clinging to power.

Will Massachusetts Democrats finally wake up and demand accountability from their aging establishment? Or will they continue enabling the same tired politicians who've overseen America's decline? The primary battle ahead should be entertaining to watch – assuming Markey can stay awake for it.

Finally! The Democrats are eating their own. Markey's been a swamp creature for decades - about time someone in his own party called him out.

Couldn't agree more! Term limits would solve this problem but they'll never vote for that.

79 years old and still clinging to power? This is exactly what's wrong with Washington. At least their primary challenger recognizes the problem.

Grab the popcorn! When Democrats start fighting each other instead of working families, that's a win for common sense Americans.

Love watching the left implode from within. Question though - is this challenger actually any better or just younger? Haven't heard much about their actual policies.

Good point - sometimes the devil you know is better than the one you don't!
