While the radical left obsesses over drag queen story hours and pushing gender ideology on children, the Trump-Vance administration is showing Americans what real family values look like.
Second Lady Usha Vance spent her Monday doing something genuinely meaningful – reading classic American literature to sick children at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., kicking off National Reading Month in the most heartwarming way possible.
A Return to Traditional Values
Mrs. Vance chose "The Sneetches and Other Stories" by Dr. Seuss – yes, the same Dr. Seuss that leftist cancel culture tried to memory-hole just a few years ago – to read to young patients ages 3 to 12 in the hospital's Family Resource Center.
"Childhood literacy is something that's very important to me, both as a parent and as someone who grew up reading avidly," the Second Lady told the gathered children and families. "It's an honor to spend time with these children and to encourage them to keep reading after they complete their stay here at the hospital."
What a refreshing contrast to the previous administration, which seemed more interested in indoctrinating children than actually helping them develop fundamental skills like reading.
Actions, Not Empty Words
Mrs. Vance didn't just show up for a photo op. She personally handed out puzzles, stuffed animals, and books to the young patients – gifts they can actually use during their hospital stays. That's the kind of genuine compassion you won't see highlighted on CNN or MSNBC.
Dr. Elizabeth Wells, the hospital's chief clinical officer, praised the visit: "Books can provide comfort, connection and a sense of normalcy for children in the hospital. We are sincerely thankful for her time, her compassion and her commitment to supporting kids and families."
The Vance Family Leading by Example
As a mother herself, Usha Vance brings authenticity to her role that resonates with everyday American families. She's not lecturing parents about how to raise their kids – she's demonstrating through action what it means to prioritize childhood development, literacy, and traditional values.
This is what America First leadership looks like, folks. While the Trump-Vance administration works tirelessly to secure our borders, restore our economy, and drain the swamp, they're also taking the time to invest in the next generation of American patriots.
Isn't it nice to have adults back in charge who actually care about children's wellbeing rather than using them as props for a radical social agenda?
