In a stunning admission that validates what President Trump and his supporters have been saying for years, liberal comedian Jon Stewart has finally acknowledged that the mainstream media "squandered" public trust by relentlessly pushing the debunked Trump-Russia collusion narrative throughout Trump's first presidency.

Stewart's confession comes as Trump begins his triumphant second term, having been completely vindicated on the Russia hoax that dominated headlines and consumed the nation's political discourse from 2016 through 2019.

"The establishment media likely squandered trust with the American people by incessantly pushing the Trump-Russia collusion narrative," Stewart admitted, describing the coordinated campaign as a "hype machine" that ultimately backfired on the legacy media outlets that promoted it.

Too Little, Too Late

While Stewart's belated honesty is noteworthy, it raises serious questions: Where was this intellectual honesty when it mattered? When CNN, MSDNC, and the rest of the state-run media were breathlessly reporting every unfounded leak and anonymous source as gospel truth?

Patriots remember the endless parade of "bombshell" reports that turned out to be nothing burgers. We remember the wall-to-wall coverage of the Mueller investigation that ultimately found no collusion. We remember how anyone who dared question the narrative was branded a conspiracy theorist or Russian asset.

"The media's credibility crisis isn't just about Russia - it's about their willingness to abandon journalism in favor of political activism," said one media analyst.

Now, with Trump back in the White House and his America First agenda in full swing, the same media outlets that pushed the Russia hoax are scrambling to regain relevance. But the damage is done - Americans have seen behind the curtain and witnessed the propaganda machine in action.

Trust Lost, Truth Revealed

Stewart's admission is just the latest crack in the mainstream media's crumbling facade. As more Americans turn to independent sources for real news, the legacy media's stranglehold on information continues to weaken.

The question now isn't whether the media lied about Russia collusion - we know they did. The question is: what other narratives are they pushing that will eventually be exposed as complete fabrications? How many more "hype machines" are running right now, and will anyone be held accountable?

Finally! Someone on the left with enough integrity to admit what we've been saying for YEARS. The Russia hoax destroyed trust in journalism and they did it to themselves.

Exactly! Better late than never I guess, but the damage is already done.

I remember trying to discuss this rationally with colleagues back in 2017-2019 and being completely shut down. The media hysteria made any reasonable conversation impossible. At least Stewart can see it now.

Credit where credit is due - Stewart calling out his own side takes guts.

Agreed. This is how you rebuild credibility - admit when you got it wrong.

Question is: will this actually change anything or will they just move on to the next manufactured crisis? The pattern seems pretty established at this point.

About time someone acknowledged the obvious! My liberal friends still can't admit they were completely taken in by the hype machine.
