Once again, we're witnessing the swamp's twisted priorities in full display. GOP senators who can't seem to find the time or energy to pass basic election security measures are suddenly moving at warp speed when it comes to military action against Iran.
The SAVE America Act – legislation that would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections – has been languishing while these same senators trip over themselves to authorize strikes halfway around the world. If they showed half the enthusiasm for protecting American democracy as they do for foreign military adventures, we'd already have the most secure elections on the planet.
War Hawks vs. Election Security
Think about this, Patriots: How long did it take these senators to unite behind military action? Hours? Days? Now ask yourself how long the SAVE Act has been sitting around gathering dust while non-citizens potentially cast ballots in American elections.
This isn't about being anti-military or pro-war – it's about priorities. President Trump ran on America First, not Iran First. Yet here we are, watching GOP senators who claim to support Trump's agenda completely ignore one of the most basic responsibilities of government: ensuring only American citizens decide American elections.
"The swamp's priorities are crystal clear – they'll move heaven and earth for military contractors and foreign conflicts, but ask them to secure our own elections and suddenly they're too busy,"one conservative activist told us.
Where's the Urgency?
Every day we delay on election security is another day foreign nationals and illegal immigrants could be influencing American democracy. But apparently that's less urgent than launching missiles at Iran.
The American people sent a clear message in 2024: secure our borders, secure our elections, and put America first. It's time for GOP senators to stop playing games with our democracy while rushing headfirst into foreign entanglements.
Maybe it's time for these senators to remember who they actually work for – the American people, not the military-industrial complex.
