Here's a question that should keep every patriotic American up at night: Why do our GOP senators get more excited about bombing other countries than they do about securing our own elections?
While Republican senators have been practically tripping over themselves to endorse military strikes against Iran with full-throated support and supposed "urgency," these same lawmakers have shown zero passion for passing the SAVE America Act – legislation that would actually protect American democracy from foreign interference.
Think about that for a moment, folks. The same senators who can't get on television fast enough to beat the war drums suddenly develop laryngitis when it comes to election integrity. If they pushed the SAVE Act with even half the enthusiasm they've shown for Middle East military adventures, it would already be signed into law.
Where Are the Priorities?
The SAVE America Act represents everything conservatives claim to care about: protecting American sovereignty, preventing foreign meddling in our elections, and ensuring only legal votes count. Yet somehow, these "America First" senators can't seem to generate the same level of passion for this legislation that they reserve for military interventions abroad.
"If GOP senators pushed the SAVE America Act with the same urgency and full-throated support with which they've backed the decision to strike Iran, it would already be law," according to analysis from The Federalist – and they're absolutely right.
This exposes a troubling reality about the Republican establishment: they're still more interested in playing world police than protecting the homeland. While President Trump has consistently prioritized America First policies, too many GOP senators remain trapped in the old neoconservative mindset of foreign interventions over domestic priorities.
Actions Speak Louder Than Campaign Promises
Every election cycle, these same senators come back to their home states promising to fight for election integrity and American sovereignty. But when push comes to shove, they'd rather authorize bombing campaigns than pass legislation that would prevent foreign nationals from interfering in American elections.
Patriots deserve better than politicians who talk tough about America First during campaign season but revert to warmongering the moment they get back to Washington. If securing American elections isn't worth fighting for, what exactly are we sending these people to Congress to do?
