President Donald Trump isn't mincing words about which of America's supposed allies have earned that title—and which ones have proven themselves unreliable when it matters most.
In a fiery exchange with reporters Tuesday, the Commander-in-Chief delivered a blistering assessment of European cooperation with U.S. military operations, singling out Spain and the United Kingdom for their failures while crediting Germany for stepping up.
Spain Told to Pound Sand
"Spain said U.S. can't use their bases. They were unfriendly… they don't have great leadership," Trump declared, not holding back his frustration with Madrid's refusal to support American operations.
But the President reserved some of his sharpest words for our friends across the pond. When asked about UK cooperation, Trump made clear that the special relationship has seen better days.
"Not happy with the UK either… this is not Winston Churchill we're dealing with," he said.
Ouch. And folks, he's not wrong. The current British leadership has been more concerned with woke virtue signaling than standing shoulder-to-shoulder with their greatest ally. Churchill would be rolling in his grave.
Germany Steps Up While Others Falter
In contrast, Trump praised Germany for allowing U.S. military access to certain areas, calling their cooperation "great." It's a stunning reversal from the days when Germany was dragging its feet on NATO contributions—proof that Trump's America First pressure campaign during his first term is paying dividends.
Iran Operations: 'They're Being Decimated'
On the ongoing situation with Iran, Trump was characteristically confident and direct.
"They were getting ready to attack Israel and others. We attacked first… they're being decimated," the President stated.
This is what American strength looks like, Patriots. No more red lines that mean nothing. No more pallets of cash flown to terrorist regimes in the dead of night. When threats emerge against our allies, this administration acts decisively.
Trump also took the opportunity to remind everyone that if he had been in office, the Ukraine disaster never would have happened in the first place—a point that becomes more obviously true with each passing day.
The Bottom Line
President Trump is doing exactly what he promised: putting America First while demanding our allies actually act like allies. Spain and the UK have shown their true colors, and this administration won't forget it.
Meanwhile, the military that Biden's team depleted by shipping weapons to Ukraine is being rebuilt, and American strength is being projected around the globe once again.
The question every American should be asking: Why are countries that claim to share our values so reluctant to stand with us when it counts?
