TRUMP CUTS OFF SPAIN: President Takes DECISIVE Action Against NATO Freeloader Refusing to Pay Its Fair Share

President Donald Trump just sent a thundering message to every NATO freeloader still clinging to the fantasy that America will foot their defense bills forever: pay up or get cut off.

In a stunning display of America First diplomacy, Trump announced Tuesday that he has ordered Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to sever all trade dealings with Spain after the socialist-led nation refused to meet NATO's new five percent defense spending target and had the audacity to deny American forces access to Spanish bases.

"We're going to cut off all trade with Spain. We don't want anything to do with Spain," Trump declared during a press availability with German Chancellor-elect Friedrich Merz.

Spain Stands Alone Against Allied Unity

While virtually every other NATO member agreed to boost defense spending to five percent at Trump's request—a necessary step in an increasingly dangerous world—Spain's leftist government stood alone in defiance. Even worse, they reportedly told the United States that American forces couldn't use bases on Spanish soil.

Trump's response? Pure alpha leadership.

"We could use their base if we want. We could just fly in and use it. Nobody's going to tell us not to use it," the President stated matter-of-factly. "But we don't have to."

The message is crystal clear: America doesn't need Spain, but Spain desperately needs America. They have "great people," Trump acknowledged, but "they don't have great leadership." Sound familiar? It's the same story we saw under Biden here at home for four long years.

Germany Steps Up, Earns Trump's Praise

In stark contrast to Spain's obstinance, Germany under incoming Chancellor Merz has earned high marks from the President. "Germany's been great. He's been terrific," Trump said, also praising NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte as "fantastic."

This is what Trump's America First foreign policy looks like in action, folks. Allies who contribute get respect and partnership. Freeloaders who think American taxpayers should subsidize their socialist welfare states get shown the door.

On Iran: Trump Reveals He Beat Them to the Punch

The President also addressed the ongoing situation with Iran, revealing crucial intelligence about the timing of recent military operations. According to Trump, the Iranian regime was planning to strike first, and America acted preemptively.

"It was my opinion that they were going to attack first," Trump explained. "Based on the way the negotiation was going, I think they were going to attack first, and I didn't want that to happen."

The result? "Virtually everything they have has been knocked out now, and their missile count is going way down."

That's decisive American leadership—something we never saw during Biden's disastrous appeasement years when Iran ran wild across the Middle East.

The Bottom Line

President Trump is reshaping the global order, and nations that refuse to adapt will be left behind. Spain can either join the alliance in good faith or watch their economy suffer the consequences of their socialist government's arrogance.

Meanwhile, American taxpayers can finally rest knowing their President isn't letting so-called "allies" take advantage of our generosity anymore. The free ride is officially over.

The question now is simple: will Spain's leaders listen to their people, or will they let pride destroy their economy? We'll be watching.

Finally! Someone with the backbone to hold these freeloaders accountable. Spain has been riding on our coattails for decades while we foot the bill for their defense.

Exactly right. I served overseas and saw firsthand how these countries expect us to do all the heavy lifting.

About time! Why should American taxpayers subsidize countries that won't even meet their basic NATO obligations?

Does anyone know what percentage of GDP Spain is actually contributing? I thought the NATO requirement was 2% but I keep hearing different numbers.

Last I checked they were around 1.3%. Way below the 2% minimum they agreed to.

Smart move. These European nations have been taking advantage of our generosity for too long while spending their money on socialist programs instead of defense.

This is exactly why we voted for Trump - to put America's interests first and stop being the world's ATM. Keep the pressure on, Mr. President!
