In what can only be described as a partisan witch hunt, a Minneapolis county attorney has announced her office is investigating 17 federal agents for alleged criminal conduct – with the real crime being their success in enforcing America's immigration laws under President Trump's mass deportation agenda.
The investigation targets Border Patrol Chief Gregory Bovino and other federal agents who participated in Operation Metro Surge, Trump's highly effective immigration enforcement mission that has been clearing Minnesota of illegal aliens who never should have been in our country in the first place.
But here's what really happened: two anti-ICE protesters – Renee Good and Alex Pretti – died in January while presumably interfering with lawful federal immigration operations. Now, instead of supporting our brave federal agents who are simply doing their jobs to secure our borders, this rogue county attorney wants to turn our immigration enforcers into criminals.
Deep State Resistance in Full Display
This is exactly the kind of deep state resistance President Trump warned us about. While patriots celebrate the success of Operation Metro Surge in removing dangerous illegal immigrants from American communities, radical left prosecutors are weaponizing their offices to attack the very agents working to keep us safe.
The timing is no coincidence. As Trump's deportation operations ramp up nationwide, delivering on his campaign promises to the American people, Democrat prosecutors in sanctuary jurisdictions are desperately trying to obstruct justice and protect their illegal alien constituency.
"We will investigate and pursue charging where appropriate," the Minneapolis county attorney declared, essentially promising to persecute federal agents for enforcing federal law.
This is what lawfare looks like, folks. When Democrats can't win at the ballot box, they turn prosecutors into political weapons against anyone who dares to put America First.
Chief Bovino and his team deserve our support, not political persecution from radical prosecutors who care more about protecting illegal aliens than protecting American citizens. Will Patriots stand with our immigration enforcers, or will we let the resistance destroy the very people securing our borders?
