The mask is officially off. When Joe Biden sat in the White House, House Democrats had no problem unanimously joining Republicans to condemn Iran as the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism. But now that President Trump is back in charge and taking a tough stance against the Islamic Republic, suddenly 53 House Democrats have developed amnesia about Tehran's reign of terror.
The resolution, put forward by Rep. Brian Mast (R-FL), passed by a 372-53 vote last Thursday, with every single 'no' vote coming from Democrats. Two additional Democrats couldn't even be bothered to pick a side, voting 'present' instead.
As social media users quickly pointed out, this wasn't about new intelligence or changed circumstances.

Leading the charge against the anti-Iran resolution? The usual suspects from the radical 'Squad.' Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, and Rashida Tlaib all voted to give Iran a pass, according to social media tracking by @Gregs_iPinions.
What Really Changed Here?
Iran didn't suddenly become peaceful. They're still funding Hamas, Hezbollah, and other terrorist proxies. They're still chanting 'Death to America' in their parliament. They're still developing nuclear weapons while oppressing their own people.
The only thing that changed was the occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue. Under Biden's weak leadership, Democrats could safely vote against Iran knowing their president would do nothing meaningful anyway. But with Trump back in office—the same president who eliminated terrorist leader Qasem Soleimani—these Democrats are terrified he might actually follow through on America's tough talk.
This isn't about foreign policy principle. This is pure partisan obstruction, even when it means going soft on the world's leading terrorist regime. When your hatred of Trump runs so deep that you'll provide cover for Iran's mullahs, you've lost the plot entirely.
