FORGOTTEN HEROES: America's Woke Education System ERASES the True Story of Alamo Patriots

While true patriots across Texas pause today to honor the heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice at the Alamo 190 years ago, a disturbing trend has emerged: America's woke education establishment is systematically erasing one of our nation's greatest stories of courage and sacrifice for liberty.

The Battle of the Alamo, which ended on March 6, 1836, represents everything the radical left despises about American values - rugged individualism, the willingness to die for freedom, and the rejection of tyrannical government overreach. Yet for over a century, "Remember the Alamo" served as a rallying cry that inspired generations of Americans to stand up against oppression.

Today, as social media lights up with tributes to these fallen heroes, it's clear that everyday Americans still understand what our so-called "educators" refuse to teach. Texas State Representative Brett Busby captured the spirit perfectly, posting: "Today we observe Alamo Day and remember those who stood for liberty in 1836. Their sacrifice remains an enduring part of Texas history. The resilience and determination shown in the fight for independence continue to shape our state's identity."

"Remembering the fall of the Alamo on this day in 1836, a testament to unwavering courage and the fierce Texas spirit of resilience," the Texas GOP Caucus declared on social media, using the hashtag #RememberTheAlamo.

But here's what makes the left's historical revisionism so dangerous: they're not just omitting facts - they're actively reframing the Texas Revolution to fit their anti-American narrative. Instead of celebrating heroes like Davy Crockett, Jim Bowie, and William Travis who chose death over surrender, woke historians focus on manufactured controversies designed to make students ashamed of their heritage.

As one proud Texan put it on social media: "People out here yelling about sweetened bread but I'm over here trying to spend every waking moment remembering the Alamo. Who is really from Texas?"

Under President Trump's second term, patriotic Americans are fighting back against this cultural Marxism in our schools. The heroes of the Alamo didn't sacrifice their lives so future generations could be taught to hate the very principles they died defending.

The question every parent should be asking: What version of the Alamo story is YOUR child learning?

Absolutely disgraceful what they're doing to our history!

As an educator for 23 years, I've watched the systematic removal of American heroes from our curriculum. These men died for Texas independence and deserve better than being footnotes in revisionist history books.

The left wants to erase anything that shows Americans fighting for freedom and self-determination. They can't stand stories of ordinary people standing up to government overreach.

This is exactly what I've been saying for years! My kids came home from school knowing nothing about the courage of Travis, Bowie, and Crockett. We're raising a generation that doesn't understand what real sacrifice looks like.

Same here! I had to take my daughter to the actual Alamo site to teach her the real history because her textbook barely mentioned it.

Can someone explain why schools are so afraid to teach about American courage and sacrifice? What exactly are they trying to replace these stories with?

They want to focus on 'diverse perspectives' and paint America as the villain in every story. It's cultural Marxism 101.

Thank you for writing this article! More parents need to wake up and see what's happening in their children's classrooms before it's too late.

I live 10 minutes from the Alamo and my nephew's high school history class spent more time on climate change than the Texas Revolution. These heroes defended liberty against tyranny - that's a lesson every American child should learn.
