Another day, another Democrat running to activist judges to try and stop President Trump from making America great again. This time it's Rep. Joyce Beatty (D-OH), who filed an emergency court motion Friday demanding a halt to Trump's planned temporary closure and renovation of the recently renamed Trump-Kennedy Center.
Beatty, an ex officio trustee at the performing arts center, is crying "irreparable harm" over Trump's completely lawful decision to modernize and improve a facility that bears his name. The Ohio Democrat's desperate court filing challenges what she hysterically called Trump's "unlawful efforts to rename, shutter, and gut" the center.
"Emergency relief is necessary to prevent irreparable harm," Beatty declared in her motion, as reported by @MacFarlaneNews on social media.
Let's be clear about what's really happening here: President Trump is doing what he does best - taking something run-down by the swamp and making it better. The temporary closure for renovations is a standard practice that happens at facilities across the country. But because it's Trump, the left is having another meltdown.
This is the same Joyce Beatty who spent four years resisting Trump's America First agenda during his first term. Now she's trying to weaponize the courts to stop basic facility improvements. What's she really afraid of - that Trump will actually make the center better and more efficient?
Deep State Desperation
The timing of this lawsuit reveals everything about the Democrats' strategy: obstruct, delay, and tie up Trump's agenda in endless litigation. They can't beat him at the ballot box, so they're running to their activist judge friends to try and stop progress.
Patriots should ask themselves: why is a Democrat so desperate to keep Trump from improving a facility that now bears his name? What are they really trying to hide or protect in that building?
This is exactly the kind of swamp behavior that Americans voted against in 2024. Will activist judges once again try to substitute their judgment for that of the duly elected President of the United States?
