Bombshell testimony from the federal trial of Pakistani national Asif Merchant has revealed the chilling extent of Iran's plot to assassinate President Donald Trump, with the would-be assassin literally sketching his deadly plans on a napkin while comparing his scheme to the Butler, Pennsylvania shooting attempt.

Merchant, who stands accused of orchestrating an Iran-backed assassination plot against Trump in 2024, told FBI agents during his trial that he believed Iran "was responsible" for the Butler shooting that nearly claimed the President's life. The revelation comes as prosecutors paint a picture of a sophisticated international conspiracy aimed at eliminating America's commander-in-chief.

According to court documents, Merchant paid undercover FBI agents posing as hitmen $5,000 as part of what he thought was a murder-for-hire scheme targeting not just President Trump, but also then-candidate Biden and Nikki Haley. The Pakistani operative was arrested on July 12, 2024—remarkably, just one day before the actual Butler assassination attempt occurred.

Iranian Coercion and Revolutionary Guard Threats

Merchant testified that Iran's Revolutionary Guard intelligence operatives coerced him into the assassination plot by threatening his family members in Tehran. Social media reports have highlighted the connection, with @LightOnLiberty posting: "Pakistani national Asif Merchant, on trial for terrorism & murder-for-hire, testified that Iranian Revolutionary Guard intelligence coerced him into a U.S. assassination plot targeting President Donald Trump."

The timing raises serious questions about whether there was coordination between Iran's plot and the actual Butler shooting attempt. While the FBI claims they found "no evidence" of Iranian involvement in Butler, Patriots aren't buying the official narrative—especially given the Deep State's track record of protecting foreign adversaries while targeting Trump.

@_global_reports noted the broader context: "The plot was in retaliation for the U.S. killing of Iran's top commander, Qassem Soleimani," highlighting how Trump's strong America First foreign policy has made him a target of our enemies.

Another Deep State "Coincidence"?

How convenient that the FBI "found no evidence" of Iranian involvement in Butler, yet here we have a Pakistani operative working for Iran's Revolutionary Guard arrested literally the day before the attempt. This administration won't let foreign adversaries threaten President Trump—but Americans deserve answers about how close our enemies came to success.

The question every Patriot should be asking: How many more Iranian operatives are still out there, and will the Trump administration finally hold Tehran accountable for these acts of war against our President?

Thank God the FBI caught this before it was too late! President Trump needs maximum protection - the deep state and foreign enemies are working overtime.

This is absolutely terrifying but not surprising given Iran's history of targeting American leaders. The fact that they're drawing assassination plans on napkins shows how brazen they've become under this weak administration.

Exactly right - they know there are no real consequences anymore. Remember when we actually had deterrence?

Does anyone know if this is connected to the previous assassination attempts on Trump? The timing seems suspicious with everything else going on.

As a former military intelligence officer, I can tell you this level of Iranian infiltration is unprecedented. We used to take these threats seriously and respond accordingly. Now we're lucky if the FBI even investigates properly.
