About 50 brave Iranian-Americans rallied Friday afternoon outside the Thomas F. Eagleton United States Courthouse in downtown St. Louis, sending a crystal-clear message to Senator Eric Schmitt (R-MO): It's time to back real regime change in Iran.
The group wasn't there to beg for another worthless diplomatic "engagement" like the Obama-Biden crowd loves to push. They came with a specific ask – support for Reza Pahlavi as a leader in a transitional government that could finally free Iran from the brutal Islamic Republic that has terrorized its people for decades.
Trump's Iran Policy Shows the Way Forward
This grassroots movement couldn't come at a better time. While the previous Biden administration spent four years appeasing the mullahs and trying to revive the disastrous Iran nuclear deal, President Trump's second-term agenda puts America First – which means supporting freedom fighters, not freedom crushers.
These Iranian-Americans understand what the D.C. establishment refuses to acknowledge: The Iranian regime isn't just a threat to its own people – it's the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism, funding Hamas, Hezbollah, and other proxy groups that attack American allies like Israel.
"We're ready to take our country back," could be heard from the passionate crowd, echoing the same spirit that drove America's own fight for independence.
The question now is whether Republican leaders like Senator Schmitt will answer the call. With Trump's strong anti-Iran stance and commitment to supporting democratic movements worldwide, this could be the moment Iranian patriots have been waiting for.
Will the GOP seize this opportunity to support real regime change that puts freedom-loving people first? Or will they let another generation of Iranians suffer under Islamic extremism while China and Russia expand their influence?
The Iranian-American community has spoken. Now it's time for our representatives to listen.
