California Governor Gavin Newsom's presidential ambitions just took a brutal hit from an unexpected source—and the assessment is absolutely devastating.

Washington Examiner columnist Joe Concha didn't mince words when discussing Newsom's 2028 prospects, delivering what can only be described as a political death sentence for the Golden State's struggling leader.

"He will not be the Democratic nominee for president in 2028," Concha declared, before unleashing the real bombshell: calling Newsom a "pathological narcissist" who "will say or do anything to be president of the United States."

But Concha wasn't done there. He delivered the ultimate political insult, comparing Newsom to the Democrats' most toxic political figure: "It's because he's like Hillary Clinton."

"He will say or do anything to be president of the United States, and it's not to better the country. It's because he's like Hillary Clinton."

This assessment comes as no surprise to anyone who's watched Newsom's disastrous tenure as California's governor. While President Trump has been delivering victory after victory in his second term, Newsom has been presiding over California's continued decline—skyrocketing crime, crushing taxes, and an exodus of families and businesses fleeing his failed policies.

The comparison to Hillary Clinton is particularly damaging for Democrats. Clinton's toxic brand and entitled attitude cost them the 2016 election, and now Concha is suggesting Newsom suffers from the same fatal character flaws that make politicians unelectable on the national stage.

California's Failed Leader

Newsom's record speaks for itself. While Trump focuses on putting America First, Newsom has turned California into a cautionary tale of liberal governance gone wrong. High-speed rail boondoggles, homeless encampments, and businesses fleeing to red states—this is Newsom's legacy.

The question isn't whether Newsom will win the Democratic nomination in 2028. The real question is: will the Democratic Party finally learn that narcissistic politicians who put personal ambition over country are a recipe for electoral disaster?

If Concha is right—and his track record suggests he is—Democrats are in for another rude awakening in 2028.

I've been saying this for years - the guy is completely delusional about his own abilities. Remember when he kept California locked down while dining at French Laundry? That's your 'pathological narcissist' right there.

The French Laundry incident showed his true colors. Rules for thee but not for me mentality.

Does anyone really think voters outside of California are going to buy into his progressive nonsense? The recall election should have been a wake-up call for this guy.

FINALLY someone in the media is calling out Newsom for what he really is! His handling of California has been an absolute disaster, and now he thinks he can run the whole country into the ground?

Exactly! Look at the homeless crisis and businesses fleeing CA. That's his presidential resume right there.
