EXPOSED: GOP Establishment Uses 'Paid Influencer' Excuse to BLOCK Trump's SAVE Act

The Republican establishment is showing its true colors again, folks. Senate Majority Leader John Thune just threw cold water on President Trump's SAVE Act – the crucial election integrity legislation that Americans desperately want – by claiming the pressure campaign is just artificial "online" noise rather than authentic grassroots demand.

Speaking to reporters Wednesday, Thune suggested that much of the current push for the SAVE Act is being driven by what sources describe as a "paid influencer ecosystem" rather than genuine conservative activism. Translation? The Senate GOP leadership thinks YOU don't really care about election integrity – it's all just bots and paid shills, according to them.

This is exactly the kind of swamp mentality that Trump ran against in 2016 and 2024. When millions of Americans demand action on securing our elections, the establishment's first instinct is to dismiss it as fake pressure campaigns. But when left-wing activists flood their offices with calls, suddenly that's "authentic grassroots democracy."

The SAVE Act: What They Don't Want You to Have

The SAVE Act would require proof of citizenship to vote in federal elections – something that should be common sense in any functioning republic. But apparently, even with Republicans controlling the government, getting basic election security measures passed is "complicated" according to Thune.

"The path forward could be far more complicated than some conservatives expect," Thune reportedly told the press, essentially telegraphing that he's looking for excuses to water down or delay Trump's priorities.

This is particularly infuriating because Republicans campaigned on election integrity. They got votes from patriots who trusted them to secure our elections. Now, barely three weeks into Trump's second term, we're already hearing about how "complicated" it will be to deliver.

The truth is, there's nothing complicated about requiring citizens to prove they're citizens before voting. The only thing that's complicated is Mitch McConnell's old guard still calling the shots behind the scenes, more worried about what the Washington Post editorial board thinks than what their own voters demand.

Will Trump force his own party to act, or will the Senate GOP continue finding excuses to protect the broken status quo? Patriots are watching.

President Trump fighting for election integrity while swamp creatures make excuses. This is why we need him back in office!

He's the only one willing to take on the uniparty establishment.

This is exactly why we can't trust the establishment Republicans anymore. They're more concerned about maintaining their power than actually securing our elections!

Couldn't agree more. They've been stabbing Trump in the back since day one.

Can someone explain why establishment GOP would oppose this? Seems like election integrity should be bipartisan.

The 'paid influencer' excuse is laughable. These politicians will say anything to avoid taking a stand on real issues affecting Americans.

The SAVE Act is common sense legislation - requiring proof of citizenship to vote should be automatic. What are they so afraid of?

I volunteer as a poll worker in my county and you wouldn't believe how many people can't provide basic ID verification. This bill would fix that mess once and for all.
