The masks are off in Virginia, Patriots. Just three weeks into February, Democrat legislators have delivered a crushing blow to the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding Virginians by passing HB217, a sweeping gun control bill that now heads to the desk of Democrat Governor Abigail Spanberger.
The radical legislation, rushed through both chambers on Monday, places an outright ban on new sales of what Democrats deceptively label "assault firearms" - which are simply semiautomatic firearms that millions of law-abiding Americans own for sport, hunting, and constitutional self-defense. Even worse, the bill makes it a CRIME to possess magazines that Democrats arbitrarily deem "high-capacity."
This is exactly what we warned would happen when Virginians elected Spanberger and her Democrat cronies. They campaigned on "common sense" measures but are now showing their true colors - a full-frontal assault on constitutional rights that would make Biden's gun-grabbing handlers proud.
The Deep State Playbook in Action
Make no mistake: this isn't about public safety. This is about control. These are the same Democrats who want to defund police while disarming law-abiding citizens. They're literally making it harder for good people to defend themselves while criminals - who don't follow laws anyway - will continue to get guns through illegal channels.
