Another day, another Democrat caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Former Arizona Senator Kyrsten Sinema is under fire after a Washington watchdog group exposed her brazen spending of nearly $2 million in campaign funds AFTER leaving office – burning through $1.3 million more than initially reported.
The Foundation for Accountability and Civic Trust (FACT) filed a formal complaint Tuesday demanding the Federal Election Commission investigate what appears to be a massive violation of campaign finance laws. While hardworking Americans struggle with Biden-era inflation, Sinema was apparently treating her campaign account like a personal piggy bank.
This is exactly the kind of swamp behavior that President Trump has been fighting against for years. Politicians from both parties have grown accustomed to treating campaign donations like their own personal slush funds, enriching themselves while pretending to serve the people.
The Swamp Protects Its Own
What's particularly galling is how long it took for this information to surface. Where was the mainstream media? Where were the so-called "ethics watchdogs" in Congress? It took an independent foundation to do the job that our supposedly free press refuses to do when it comes to Democrats.
Sinema, who switched from Democrat to Independent before leaving office, clearly thought she could slip away quietly with her pockets full. She spent years frustrating her own party's radical agenda, only to allegedly pull this stunt on her way out the door.
"This pattern of suspicious spending demands immediate investigation," FACT officials stated in their complaint.
This scandal perfectly illustrates why Americans voted overwhelmingly for President Trump in 2024. They're sick of the corruption, sick of the double standards, and sick of politicians who view public service as a pathway to personal enrichment.
The FEC must act swiftly to investigate these allegations and hold Sinema accountable. If she violated campaign finance laws, she should face the full consequences – just like any ordinary American would. The era of two-tiered justice must end.
