In yet another stunning display of leftist hypocrisy, Squad member Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) has endorsed Raj Goyle for New York comptroller, breathlessly calling him a "lifelong progressive" - despite Goyle's own bragging about voting with Republicans a whopping 80% of the time during his stint in the Kansas legislature.
This endorsement exposes everything wrong with today's radical Democrats: they'll say anything to get power, even if it means completely abandoning their so-called "principles." How can Jayapal, one of the most far-left members of Congress, endorse someone who literally worked hand-in-hand with Republicans on eight out of every ten votes?
The answer is simple - it's all about the grift. These career politicians don't actually believe in the progressive ideology they peddle to their base. They believe in one thing: winning elections and maintaining their grip on power.
Goyle's record in Kansas tells the real story. While he now tries to rebrand himself as a "lifelong progressive" for New York voters, his actual voting record shows he was more aligned with Republicans than Democrats. That's not progressive - that's called being a moderate Republican!
"This endorsement perfectly captures the intellectual bankruptcy of the modern left," said one conservative analyst. "They claim to be ideological purists, but they'll endorse anyone if it serves their political interests."
This flip-flopping should concern every New Yorker. If Goyle was comfortable voting with the GOP 80% of the time in Kansas, what guarantee do voters have that he won't abandon his newfound "progressive" values the moment it becomes politically convenient?
Meanwhile, Jayapal's credibility with her own progressive base should be in tatters. How can she claim to represent the far-left while endorsing someone whose record is more conservative than many Republicans?
Patriots, this is exactly why Americans rejected the radical left's agenda in 2024. Voters are tired of politicians who say one thing and do another. They want leaders with actual principles - not career politicians who change their stripes based on which way the political winds are blowing.
Will New York voters see through this obvious charade, or will they fall for another progressive politician's empty promises?
