The conservative fiscal watchdog Club for Growth is unleashing a massive $175 million spending offensive to ensure Republicans maintain their crucial House and Senate majorities in the 2026 midterms, setting up what president David McIntosh calls a stark choice between continuing Trump's "great progress" or letting "socialists back in."
The announcement comes as President Trump's second-term agenda continues delivering wins for the American people, with his administration's deportation operations, government efficiency cuts, and energy dominance policies already showing results just three weeks into his presidency.
But McIntosh and other conservative leaders know the stakes couldn't be higher. Historical patterns show the president's party typically loses seats in midterm elections, and Democrats are salivating at the chance to obstruct Trump's America First agenda.
"We're facing a fundamental choice," McIntosh told reporters. "Do we want to continue the great progress President Trump is making, or do we want the socialists back in control, ready to undo everything we've accomplished?"
Targeting Trump Voters Who Might Stay Home
The Club for Growth's strategy specifically focuses on mobilizing Trump voters who historically skip midterm elections. These patriots showed up in massive numbers in 2024 to deliver Trump his decisive victory, but keeping them engaged without Trump directly on the ballot presents a challenge.
This smart approach recognizes a harsh political reality: while Trump's base remains fired up about his agenda, some supporters tune out during off-year elections. That's exactly what the radical left is counting on.
"The socialists know they can't win when all Americans are paying attention. Their only shot is banking on conservative voters staying home while their activists flood the polls."
With Trump's DOGE efficiency program already cutting government waste, his border wall construction resuming, and energy production soaring, Republicans have a strong record to defend. But that record means nothing if conservatives don't show up to vote.
The question for patriots across America is simple: Will you let the progress of Trump's second term be derailed by socialist Democrats who want to drag us back to the failed policies of the Biden years? The choice is ours to make.
