The hallowed halls of Congress hit rock bottom Tuesday night when radical Democrat Rep. Rashida Tlaib (MI-12) turned President Donald Trump's State of the Union address into her own personal anti-American tantrum, chanting "KKK" while patriotic Republicans proudly responded with "USA."
What should have been a moment of national unity as our President outlined his America First agenda instead became a disgusting display of just how far the radical left will go to divide our nation. While Trump delivered his vision for continued American prosperity, Tlaib—a known anti-Israel extremist—couldn't contain her hatred for the country that gave her everything.
The contrast couldn't have been more stark: Republicans celebrating America with chants of "USA," while Democrats like Tlaib spewed divisive rhetoric that belongs nowhere near the People's House. This is the same Rashida Tlaib who has repeatedly attacked Israel, our closest ally in the Middle East, and now she's comparing our duly-elected President to the KKK?
"When members of Congress turn the State of the Union into a low-rent wrestling segment, something is broken in more than our politics," observers noted about the shameful display.
But let's be clear about what really happened here: This wasn't some spontaneous outburst. This was a calculated attack designed to undermine President Trump's message of American strength and prosperity. While Trump outlined his plans to secure our border, bring jobs back to American workers, and restore our nation's greatness, radical Democrats like Tlaib showed their true colors.
The Real Question Patriots Should Be Asking
How long will we allow members of Congress to turn our most sacred democratic institutions into platforms for their anti-American hatred? Tlaib's disgraceful behavior isn't just an attack on President Trump—it's an attack on every American who believes in the values that made this country great.
The American people deserve better than representatives who chant slurs while their colleagues celebrate the greatest nation on earth. It's time to ask ourselves: Is this really who we want representing us in Congress?
