Hawaii Senator Brian Schatz just revealed the callous heart of the Democrat Party, openly admitting he feels "serene" about blocking Department of Homeland Security funding while TSA agents and Coast Guard members go without paychecks.
The power-hungry Democrat, who's desperately angling to become Minority Whip when Dick Durbin retires, apparently has no problem using hardworking Americans as pawns in his political games against the Trump administration.
While President Trump works to secure our borders and implement his America First agenda through DHS, Schatz and his fellow Democrats are sabotaging the very agencies responsible for keeping Americans safe. TSA workers screening passengers at airports and Coast Guard personnel protecting our coastlines are caught in the crossfire of Democrat obstruction.
Another Democrat Power Play
This is classic Washington swamp behavior. Schatz isn't just content being a back-bencher – he's got his eyes on Chuck Schumer's leadership role and will apparently sacrifice anyone to get there. The man is so "thirsty" for power that he's willing to leave essential security personnel without pay just to score political points.
"Of course, should the midterms go south for Republicans, Schatz would gleefully run right over Democrat Minority Leader Chuck Schumer to take up the mantle of Majority Leader — he's that thirsty."
What makes this even more disgusting is Schatz's attitude about it. While hardworking Americans struggle to pay their bills because of Democrat games, this privileged senator from Hawaii describes himself as "serene." Try telling that to a Coast Guard family wondering how they'll make rent this month.
This is exactly why Americans voted for Trump's return to the White House. While Democrats play politics with people's livelihoods, President Trump is focused on actually governing and protecting American interests.
The question patriots should be asking: How can any senator sleep peacefully at night knowing they're denying paychecks to the very people keeping our nation secure? Apparently, when you're a power-obsessed Democrat like Brian Schatz, it's easier than you'd think.
