The Washington swamp is at it again, folks. More than two dozen House lawmakers have reportedly sent a letter to U.S. Trade Representative Jamieson Greer, essentially begging the Trump administration to go easy on Mexican beer imports when implementing America First tariff policies.

According to sources, the letter was signed by 13 Republicans and one Democrat – a telling sign that when corporate profits are at stake, the establishment suddenly finds bipartisan unity. Where was this cooperation when it came to securing our border or putting American workers first?

Follow the Money

Let's be honest about what's really happening here. This isn't about "consumer choice" or "free trade principles." This is about protecting the profit margins of major beer distributors and retailers who have built their business models around cheap foreign imports at the expense of American brewers and workers.

President Trump's tariff strategy has always been about leveling the playing field for American businesses and workers who have been sold out by decades of globalist trade deals. Mexican beer flooding our markets isn't just an economic issue – it's part of the broader pattern of Mexico benefiting from lopsided trade relationships while American communities suffer.

"America First means putting American workers and American businesses ahead of foreign competitors and corporate profit margins," one administration source noted.

The Real Question

Why are these lawmakers so quick to defend Mexican imports but remain silent when American breweries struggle to compete? Why do they rush to protect corporate beer distributors but drag their feet on securing the border that these same Mexican imports cross?

The Trump administration ran on a platform of economic nationalism and fair trade – not the globalist "free trade at any cost" mentality that hollowed out American manufacturing for decades.

Patriots should ask themselves: Do we want representatives who fight for foreign beer companies, or ones who stand with American workers and businesses? The answer should be obvious, but apparently it isn't to the two dozen lawmakers who signed this letter.

President Trump has consistently delivered on his promises to put America First. Let's hope he continues that streak and ignores this swamp pressure campaign.

Why are we even importing beer when we have great American breweries? Support local businesses, not Mexico!

Exactly what I expected from the establishment! These career politicians care more about their corporate donors than American workers.

The mask comes off! These politicians work for lobbyists, not the American people.

As someone who owns a restaurant, I can tell you that these tariffs would actually help American beer distributors. Why is Congress fighting against American jobs?

Trump promised to put America first and that's exactly what he's doing with these tariffs. Stand strong, Mr. President!

This is why Trump needs to drain the swamp completely. These RINOs show their true colors the moment it affects their special interests.

Been drinking Budweiser and Coors my whole life - never needed Mexican beer anyway. This is about principle, not beer preferences.
