A Republican attorney general candidate is sounding the alarm after Democrats in his blue state proposed legalizing prostitution despite the area already being plagued by rampant human trafficking.
Michael Allen, the GOP candidate, said he was "shocked" by the Democratic proposal, warning it would "open the floodgates" to even more human trafficking operations that prey on vulnerable women and children.
"I couldn't believe what I was hearing," Allen told reporters. "We're dealing with a human trafficking crisis right now, and these Democrats want to make it easier for criminals to exploit victims? It's absolutely shocking."

The proposal comes as blue states across America continue to see rising crime rates and social decay under failed liberal policies. Allen pointed out the obvious connection between legalized prostitution and increased trafficking that Democrats refuse to acknowledge. "Every place that has legalized this has seen an explosion in human trafficking. These are not 'sex workers' – these are victims of modern-day slavery."
