A shocking shooting at Old Dominion University in Virginia has exposed the catastrophic failure of our immigration and security systems after authorities revealed the gunman was previously convicted of attempting to provide support to ISIS terrorists.
The FBI identified the shooter as Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, a 36-year-old former Virginia Army National Guard member who had already served 11 years in federal prison for his ISIS connections. Despite this terror conviction, Jalloh was apparently free to carry out Thursday's attack on American college students.
This isn't just another campus shooting – this is a terror-connected individual who somehow slipped through the cracks of a system that should have been watching him like a hawk. How does someone with proven ISIS ties end up with access to weapons and the freedom to terrorize innocent Americans?
Biden's Security Failures Coming Home to Roost
While the shooting occurred under President Trump's second term, this disaster has the fingerprints of the previous administration's reckless policies all over it. For four years, the Biden regime prioritized woke diversity training over actual national security, weakened our military with DEI nonsense, and turned a blind eye to the terror threats growing within our own borders.
The fact that Jalloh was able to serve in the Virginia Army National Guard before his terror conviction raises serious questions about military screening procedures that were corrupted during the Obama and Biden years. How many other ISIS sympathizers were allowed to infiltrate our armed forces?
Patriots across Virginia and the nation are rightfully asking: if our own military and law enforcement can't keep track of known terror supporters, what hope do we have of protecting our children on college campuses?
Time for Real Action
This attack proves why President Trump's tough stance on national security and his plans to root out deep state failures are more critical than ever. We need a complete overhaul of how we track and monitor individuals with terror connections.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims and their families, but prayers aren't enough. It's time to demand accountability from every agency that allowed this ISIS supporter to threaten American lives.
