Maine's Democrat Attorney General Aaron Frey has delivered a crushing blow to his own party's election manipulation agenda, filing a brief with the Maine Supreme Court acknowledging that the state's expansion of ranked-choice voting directly violates the Maine Constitution.

The admission represents a rare moment of honesty from a Democrat official about the dubious legal foundation underlying these complex voting schemes that conservatives have long argued are designed to confuse voters and rig elections in favor of liberal candidates.

Frey's brief argues that what he calls "statutory wordsmithing" cannot override the clear constitutional requirements for how Maine conducts its elections. Translation: Democrats tried to get cute with the law and got caught red-handed violating their own state's founding document.

Another Liberal Voting Scheme Bites the Dust

This constitutional crisis in Maine is exactly what happens when the radical left tries to fundamentally transform America's election systems without following proper legal procedures. Instead of going through the legitimate constitutional amendment process, Democrats attempted to backdoor their ranked-choice agenda through legislative sleight of hand.

The timing couldn't be more perfect. As President Trump's second administration works tirelessly to restore election integrity nationwide, we're seeing Democrat election schemes crumble under basic legal scrutiny. It turns out that when you actually follow the Constitution – imagine that – these manipulative voting systems fall apart.

"This is what happens when Democrats put ideology over the rule of law," said one constitutional law expert. "They're so desperate to rig the system they'll violate their own state constitutions."

Maine voters deserve better than having their fundamental right to vote manipulated by complex schemes that even the state's top legal officer admits are unconstitutional. This case should serve as a warning to other states considering similar ranked-choice boondoggles.

How many other Democrat-controlled states are operating unconstitutional election systems right now? And more importantly, when will voters hold these constitution-violating officials accountable for their blatant disregard of the law?

Finally! I've been saying this for years - ranked choice voting is just a way for Democrats to manipulate elections when they can't win outright. Glad to see even their own AG had to admit the truth.

Exactly right. The Constitution matters, whether they like the outcome or not.

My town clerk told me privately that RCV made vote counting a nightmare and cost us thousands in extra training and equipment. Glad to see this unconstitutional scheme finally getting exposed.

This is huge news! When even a Democrat AG admits it violates the state constitution, you know it's bad.

The people of Maine deserve simple, transparent elections where the candidate with the most votes wins. RCV was always a solution looking for a problem that didn't exist.

I voted against RCV every time it was on the ballot. It's confusing, unconstitutional, and designed to help Democrats win races they should lose. Time to scrap this whole experiment.

Same here. My elderly neighbors were so confused by the RCV ballot they almost didn't vote at all.

How much taxpayer money did we waste implementing and defending this unconstitutional system? Someone needs to be held accountable for this mess.

Question: Does this mean all the elections conducted under RCV could be challenged? Seems like this opens up a whole can of worms legally speaking.

That's a really good point. The legal ramifications could be enormous if they try to unwind this.

About time someone in authority called this out!
