The mask is coming off, Patriots. The same Democrats who spent years weaponizing speech codes, cancel culture, and corporate censorship to silence conservatives are now wrapping themselves in the First Amendment to defend Hamas sympathizers.
Mahmoud Khalil, who became the poster boy for the pro-Hamas movement following the savage October 7, 2023 terrorist attack that murdered over 1,200 innocent Israelis and took hundreds more hostage, is receiving VIP treatment from leftist politicians who suddenly care about free speech rights.
The hypocrisy is breathtaking. These are the same people who cheered when Big Tech banned President Trump, who stayed silent when conservative voices were systematically purged from social media platforms, and who nodded approvingly as the Biden regime's censorship apparatus targeted parents at school board meetings.
But now? Now they're constitutional scholars defending the sacred right to celebrate terrorism.
Where Was This Energy Before?
For years, conservatives watched as the Left redefined speech they didn't like as "violence" while actual violence from Antifa and BLM rioters was called "mostly peaceful protest." We saw careers destroyed, businesses shuttered, and lives ruined over thoughtcrimes against progressive orthodoxy.
Remember when they said misgendering someone was literally violence? When they claimed mean tweets were trauma? When they argued that questioning election integrity was "dangerous misinformation" that threatened democracy itself?
But celebrating the slaughter of Jewish families? Well, that's just protected political expression, according to these same free speech champions.
"The selective application of constitutional principles reveals everything you need to know about the modern Democrat party's priorities," one GOP strategist told reporters.
This isn't about free speech – it's about whose speech gets protected. Under the Trump-Vance administration, we're seeing a return to actual constitutional principles, not the weaponized version the Left deployed against their political enemies.
The question every American should be asking: If Democrats can suddenly rediscover the First Amendment to protect Hamas apologists, why couldn't they find it when Big Tech was silencing half the country?
