The father of a 7-year-old girl whose life was destroyed by an illegal immigrant truck driver says California Governor Gavin Newsom won't even take his phone calls – despite the fact that Newsom's own state handed the dangerous driver his commercial license.
Marcus Coleman has been desperately trying to reach the Democratic governor after his daughter Dalilah suffered horrific, life-altering injuries in a multi-car crash allegedly caused by illegal immigrant Partap Singh. But Newsom – who's too busy preparing his own presidential ambitions – apparently can't be bothered with the victims of his reckless open-border policies.
This is the true face of liberal "compassion," folks. Singh, an Indian national in the country illegally, was somehow able to obtain a commercial driver's license from the Golden State despite his illegal status. How does that happen? Because California Democrats care more about virtue signaling than protecting innocent American children like Dalilah.
"My daughter's life has been turned upside down by someone who shouldn't have even been in this country, let alone driving an 80,000-pound truck," Coleman told The Daily Wire. "And the governor who made this possible won't even return my calls."
This story perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with sanctuary state policies. While President Trump works tirelessly to secure our borders and protect American families, governors like Newsom continue enabling dangerous criminals who have no right to be here in the first place.
Where's the Accountability?
Little Dalilah Coleman is now facing a lifetime of challenges because California prioritized illegal immigrants over public safety. Singh should never have been licensed to operate commercial vehicles on American roads – period.
Meanwhile, Newsom is probably too busy crafting his next anti-Trump tweet to care about the real-world consequences of his failed policies. This is what happens when Democrats put ideology before innocent lives.
How many more American children have to suffer before we finally say enough is enough?
