The chickens have come home to roost for a deranged Florida woman who thought she could use social media to incite violence against Trump supporters. Desiree Doreen Segari, 41, of Sarasota, was found guilty by a federal jury for posting a TikTok video that called on viewers to shoot supporters of President Trump's Make America Great Again movement.
According to the U.S. Attorney's Office, Segari's sick video attempted to start a viral trend encouraging Americans to commit acts of violence against their fellow citizens simply for supporting the rightfully elected President of the United States. In her twisted rant, she urged followers to "put them back in their basements, make them scared again to be racist, homophobic, and terrible just awful [expletive]."
This is the kind of dangerous rhetoric that the left has been pushing for years – dehumanizing conservatives and Trump supporters to the point where violence seems justified in their warped minds. But unlike the lawless Biden years when Antifa terrorists roamed free, the Trump-Vance administration's Department of Justice is actually prosecuting those who threaten law-abiding Americans.
"This case sends a clear message that threats of violence against any American, regardless of their political beliefs, will not be tolerated," a Justice Department spokesperson said.
Segari now faces up to five years behind bars – a fitting consequence for someone who tried to weaponize social media against patriots. While Big Tech spent years censoring conservatives for simply questioning election integrity or COVID mandates, they allowed violent threats like this to spread on their platforms.
This conviction represents more than just one unhinged individual getting her comeuppance. It's a signal that the days of two-tiered justice are ending under President Trump's second term. For too long, leftist extremists felt emboldened to threaten, harass, and attack Trump supporters with impunity.
The MAGA movement represents the best of America – hardworking patriots who love their country and want to see it prosper. No American should fear violence for exercising their constitutional rights or supporting their chosen candidate.
How many more of these cases will it take before the radical left realizes that their reign of intimidation is over?
