The mask is officially off. Former Obama administration DHS Secretary Jeh Johnson just revealed exactly why America's immigration system has been such a disaster – because swamp creatures like him think it's too much work to protect Americans from terrorists.
Speaking on Fox News Channel's "America's Newsroom" Friday, Johnson discussed the recent terrorist attack at Old Dominion University carried out by a naturalized citizen who had previously been convicted of supporting terrorists. Instead of demanding swift action to revoke this terrorist's citizenship, Johnson whined that the process is "very cumbersome" and said he'd rather just see the suspect in jail.
Let that sink in, Patriots. A former top homeland security official thinks paperwork is more important than sending a clear message that if you commit acts of terror against Americans, you forfeit the privilege of citizenship.
The Establishment's Broken Priorities
This is exactly the kind of weak, bureaucratic thinking that allowed our immigration system to become a revolving door for bad actors during the Obama-Biden years. While Johnson frets about administrative burden, real Americans are asking why someone with terrorist convictions was allowed to remain in our country in the first place.
"It's very cumbersome to take away citizenship. I'd rather suspect be in jail," Johnson told Fox News, perfectly encapsulating the establishment's defeatist mentality.
This is the same mindset that gave us catch-and-release policies, sanctuary cities, and a border crisis that took President Trump's return to office to finally address. Johnson and his ilk would rather manage problems than solve them.
Trump's Approach: Results Over Excuses
Contrast Johnson's excuse-making with the Trump administration's decisive action on immigration enforcement. While Obama's DHS Secretary complains about paperwork, the Trump-Vance administration is delivering on mass deportations and actually securing our borders.
The American people didn't vote for "cumbersome" – they voted for results. They want terrorists stripped of citizenship and deported, not coddled by a system more concerned with process than protection.
How many more attacks will it take before the establishment realizes that American safety comes before administrative convenience?
