EXPOSED: Obama's DHS Chief Says Stripping Citizenship From Terrorists Too 'Cumbersome' - This Is Why America Was Under Attack

Barack Obama's former Department of Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson just revealed everything wrong with the left's approach to national security - and it's exactly why President Trump's hardline immigration policies are desperately needed.

Speaking on Fox News Channel's "America's Newsroom" Friday, Johnson discussed the recent terrorist attack at Old Dominion University carried out by a naturalized citizen who had previously been convicted of supporting terrorists. His response? Taking away citizenship is just too "very cumbersome" for his liking.

Let that sink in, Patriots. A man who was supposed to protect America thinks it's too much work to strip citizenship from convicted terrorist supporters who go on to commit attacks on American soil.

The Obama Administration's Failed Legacy

This is the same mindset that gave us eight years of weakness under Obama - bureaucrats more concerned about paperwork than protecting American lives. Johnson would rather see this terrorist sitting in an American jail, funded by taxpayer dollars, than properly stripped of the citizenship he never deserved in the first place.

"It's very cumbersome to take away citizenship. I'd rather suspect be in jail," Johnson stated, perfectly encapsulating the defeatist attitude that plagued his tenure.

Meanwhile, President Trump and his administration are taking decisive action with mass deportations and strengthened vetting procedures that the deep state establishment finds so threatening. Why? Because it actually works.

The contrast couldn't be clearer. While Trump fights to protect Americans first, Obama-era officials like Johnson continue making excuses for why we can't hold foreign-born terrorists accountable to the fullest extent possible.

America First vs. Bureaucratic Excuses

This terrorist was a naturalized citizen with a conviction for supporting terrorists - exactly the type of case where citizenship revocation should be straightforward. But Johnson finds it too "cumbersome" to protect the American people who trusted him with their safety.

Thank God we have President Trump back in office, surrounded by patriots like Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem who understand that protecting Americans isn't supposed to be convenient for Washington bureaucrats.

How many more attacks could have been prevented if Obama's team had prioritized American lives over administrative convenience?

This explains so much about why we had so many security failures during those years. They tied their own hands with bureaucratic nonsense.

The deep state was protecting terrorists while targeting conservatives. Wake up America!

If someone commits acts of terrorism against America, they've already renounced their citizenship through their actions. How is enforcing that 'cumbersome'?

I served three tours overseas fighting these animals, and meanwhile Obama's people were worried about making things too difficult for terrorists at home. Unbelievable.

This is exactly why we needed Trump to clean house! Obama's administration was more concerned with being politically correct than protecting American citizens.

Absolutely right. Eight years of weakness and appeasement.

The Obama administration prioritized protecting terrorist rights over American lives. This mindset is why we saw so many attacks during his presidency.

Remember San Bernardino, Orlando, Boston Marathon... the list goes on.

Can someone explain the legal process for stripping citizenship? I thought we already had mechanisms in place for cases involving treason and terrorism.

Too cumbersome?? Are you kidding me? What's cumbersome is dealing with terrorist attacks that could have been prevented.
