When politicians fear accountable elections, you know they're not working for We the People.
Majority Leader John Thune's pathetic "failure theater" has been embarrassing to watch. This is the same weak leadership that gave us decades of broken promises while the administrative state ran wild. Meanwhile, Texas Senator John Cornyn – who should know better given his border state – pulled a classic Washington flip-flop on the filibuster when it actually mattered.
But the real traitor here is Alaska's Lisa Murkowski, who came out in outright opposition to ensuring only American citizens vote in American elections. Let that sink in, Patriots. A sitting U.S. Senator is openly opposing election integrity. This is exactly why President Trump calls these people RINOs.
The Swamp Protects Itself
Why are establishment Republicans so terrified of the SAVE Act? Because requiring proof of citizenship to vote would eliminate one of their favorite excuses for losing elections. No more blaming "demographics" or "changing times" when the real problem is they've abandoned the America First agenda that actually wins.
These career politicians prefer a system where elections are murky enough that they can cut deals with Democrats behind closed doors while pretending to fight for conservative values. Clean elections mean they'd actually have to deliver on their promises – something that terrifies the Washington establishment more than anything.
President Trump won a decisive mandate in 2024 precisely because Americans are sick of this two-tiered system. While Trump fights to secure our border and restore election integrity, his own party's "leaders" are stabbing him in the back to protect their swamp privileges.
Every American should be asking their Senator a simple question: Why do you oppose ensuring only citizens vote in our elections? If they can't give you a straight answer, you know exactly whose side they're really on. And it's not ours.
