As tensions continue to simmer across the Middle East, Rabbi Michael Barclay delivered his weekly update calling for divine protection over the United States, Israel, and global stability during these turbulent times.

"Shavuah tov, may this new week bring us lasting safety and peace over the United States, Israel, and the world," Barclay stated in his weekend message, using the traditional Hebrew blessing for a good week.

The rabbi's call for peace comes as President Trump's second-term foreign policy team, led by Secretary of State Marco Rubio and National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, works to rebuild America's position of strength in the region after four years of Biden administration weakness.

"Under Trump's leadership, we're seeing a return to the successful Abraham Accords framework that actually brought peace to the Middle East," said one administration source.

Unlike the previous administration's disastrous Afghanistan withdrawal and appeasing stance toward Iran, Trump's team is taking a dramatically different approach. The administration has already signaled its intention to reimpose maximum pressure sanctions on the Iranian regime while strengthening ties with our most reliable Middle Eastern ally, Israel.

Religious leaders like Rabbi Barclay understand what's at stake. While Democrats spent four years empowering Iran and undermining Israel at every turn, Trump's America First foreign policy puts American interests and our allies first.

Strength Through Leadership

The contrast couldn't be clearer. Biden's weak leadership emboldened Iran's proxy forces and destabilized the entire region. Now, with Trump back in the Oval Office and experienced hands like Rubio steering diplomacy, America is once again projecting the kind of strength that actually prevents conflicts rather than inviting them.

As Rabbi Barclay prays for peace, Americans can take comfort knowing we finally have leadership that understands peace comes through strength, not appeasement. Will this week indeed bring the lasting safety the rabbi prays for? With Trump's proven track record, the odds just got a whole lot better.
