House Democrat James Clyburn just said the quiet part out loud, and Patriots everywhere should be paying attention. The South Carolina representative went on CNN Monday and essentially admitted that Democrats view basic voter ID requirements as "vote suppression" - revealing exactly why they've fought Trump's election integrity measures tooth and nail.
Speaking on "The Lead," Clyburn claimed the SAVE America Act isn't really about requiring photo ID to vote. Instead, he whined that "this is about suppressing the vote." Really, Congressman? Suppressing WHOSE vote, exactly?
"This is about suppressing the vote," Clyburn declared, apparently unaware he was exposing his party's real strategy.
Let's be crystal clear about what Clyburn is really saying here. When Democrats claim that requiring Americans to show ID before voting is "suppression," they're telling us they depend on people voting who shouldn't be voting. Period.
Think about it, folks - you need an ID to buy alcohol, board a plane, rent a car, or even enter most government buildings. But somehow, according to Clyburn and his fellow Democrats, requiring that same basic identification to participate in our most sacred democratic process is suddenly "suppression"?
The SAVE Act: Common Sense Election Security
The SAVE America Act simply requires proof of citizenship to register to vote and mandates states remove non-citizens from voter rolls. That's it. Basic, common-sense measures that 80% of Americans - including most Democrats - support according to polling.
But here's Clyburn, one of the most powerful Democrats in Congress, essentially admitting his party sees election integrity as a threat to their political power. When ensuring only American citizens vote in American elections is viewed as "suppression," what does that tell you about who they think is currently voting?
President Trump and the MAGA movement have been vindicated once again. While the mainstream media spent years calling election integrity "the Big Lie," Democrats like Clyburn are now openly admitting they view basic security measures as threats to their electoral chances.
The question every American should be asking is simple: If Democrats have nothing to hide, why are they so terrified of proving voters are actually citizens?
