According to DOJ emails obtained through legal discovery, Smith's partisan witch hunt team specifically identified House and Senate Republicans who had contact with former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows and Trump attorney Rudy Giuliani during President Trump's legal challenges to the rigged 2020 election.
This is nothing short of the federal government spying on elected representatives for the crime of supporting the rightfully elected President of the United States. When did we become Communist China?
The Biden DOJ's War on Democracy
The emails show Smith's team cast a wide net, essentially treating any GOP lawmaker who communicated with Trump's inner circle as a potential criminal target. This represents an unprecedented assault on the separation of powers and the constitutional immunity that protects legislative branch communications.
"This is exactly the kind of Deep State overreach that President Trump warned us about," said one constitutional law expert. "They turned the DOJ into their personal opposition research firm."
What's particularly infuriating is that these same Democrats who screamed about Russian interference spent four years conducting their own election interference operation through the corrupt justice system. They weaponized federal law enforcement against their political opponents while claiming to "save democracy."
Patriots should be asking themselves: if they're willing to spy on sitting members of Congress, what wouldn't they do to ordinary Americans who dare to question the establishment narrative?
