While President Trump is busy securing our borders and putting America first, radical House Democrat Shri Thanedar is pushing yet another divisive reparations scheme that would study handing out free land to descendants of American slaves.
The Michigan congressman introduced federal legislation last week to create a commission that would explore land distribution as a form of reparations, because apparently the left's obsession with race-based handouts knows no bounds.
This is exactly the kind of woke nonsense that Americans decisively rejected when they gave Trump and Republicans a mandate in 2024. Instead of focusing on real solutions that help ALL Americans – like the President's mass deportation program and America First trade policies – Democrats are doubling down on their failed identity politics playbook.
Dead On Arrival
Fortunately for taxpayers, this socialist land grab faces impossible odds in the Republican-controlled Congress. GOP leaders have made it clear they're focused on Trump's actual priorities: securing the border, unleashing American energy, and draining the swamp – not studying how to give away chunks of America based on skin color.
"This is exactly why Americans voted for change," said one Republican aide familiar with the legislation. "While Trump is delivering real results, Democrats are still playing the same tired race card that voters soundly rejected."
The timing couldn't be more tone-deaf. As President Trump works to unite the country around shared American values, radical Democrats like Thanedar are pushing the same divisive agenda that cost them everything in November.
This reparations push comes as Trump's approval ratings continue climbing thanks to his swift action on immigration enforcement and government efficiency through Elon Musk's DOGE initiative. Americans want results, not racial grievance politics.
Patriots should ask themselves: Is this really what Democrats think will win back voters? More handouts based on race while Trump delivers record-breaking results for working families? Good luck with that strategy in 2028.
