These deranged social media accounts on X are spreading "crude" and "vulgar" conspiracy theories, according to Zito, attacking everything from Trump's reaction to the crowd's response when a gunman's bullet grazed the President's ear during that Butler, Pennsylvania rally.
What these basement-dwelling keyboard warriors don't understand is something called "shell shock" - the very real psychological phenomenon that occurs when people witness traumatic, life-threatening violence unfold before their eyes.
"These rumors are cut from the same cloth as the sickest conspiracy theories," Zito emphasized, condemning the tasteless attacks on one of the most documented assassination attempts in modern American history.
Let's be crystal clear about what happened that day: A radical leftist gunman opened fire at a Trump rally, killing innocent American Corey Comperatore and wounding several others. The President himself came within inches of death, and we have it all on video from multiple angles.
But that's not enough for the Trump Derangement Syndrome crowd. They're so consumed with hatred for our President that they'll literally deny an assassination attempt happened right before our eyes.
