In a stunning display of Washington's swamp mentality coming full circle, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) finds himself in the awkward position of calling for strikes against Iran while his own pet government agency has been funding the very terrorist groups now threatening to close the Strait of Hormuz.
Graham, who has been the loudest voice on Capitol Hill demanding President Trump take military action against Iran, conveniently ignores his decades-long championing of USAID - the bloated government agency that has been funneling American taxpayer dollars to groups now working directly against U.S. interests in the Persian Gulf.
This is exactly the kind of Deep State incompetence that President Trump has been fighting against since day one. While Trump works tirelessly to put America First and drain the swamp, establishment Republicans like Graham have been playing both sides - talking tough on foreign policy while simultaneously supporting the very bureaucratic machinery that undermines our national security.
The RINO Problem Patriots Can't Ignore
Graham's hypocrisy perfectly illustrates why so many Americans are fed up with career politicians who talk a big game but consistently support the administrative state that works against our interests. Here's a senator demanding military action to solve a crisis that his own supported policies helped create.
"This is what happens when you have Republicans In Name Only supporting globalist agencies that prioritize foreign aid over America First principles," said one congressional aide familiar with the situation.
The irony is thick enough to cut with a knife. Graham wants Trump to clean up the mess that Graham himself helped create through years of supporting USAID's reckless spending and poor oversight.
President Trump now faces the challenging task of addressing threats in the Strait of Hormuz while dealing with the reality that his own party includes members who have actively worked against his America First agenda through their support of swamp agencies like USAID.
How many more times will establishment Republicans create problems with their globalist policies, then demand our America First president fix their mistakes? Patriots deserve better than this two-faced approach to governance.
