In what can only be described as a political earthquake, Democratic Senator John Fetterman of Pennsylvania just did something his own party and even some Republicans refused to do – he put America first by supporting President Trump's Department of Homeland Security nominee.
The nomination of Oklahoma Senator Markwayne Mullin to head DHS advanced through the Senate Homeland Security Committee Thursday, but only because Fetterman had the courage to cross party lines while committee chairman Rand Paul – supposedly a 'conservative' Republican – was prepared to stab Trump in the back.
Let that sink in, patriots. A Democrat from Pennsylvania showed more loyalty to securing our border than a Republican from Kentucky.
RINO Paul Exposed Again
This latest betrayal by Rand Paul shouldn't surprise anyone who's been paying attention. The Kentucky senator has made a career out of grandstanding against conservative nominees while claiming to be a constitutional purist. But when America needs strong leadership at DHS to execute Trump's mass deportation agenda, Paul was nowhere to be found.
Meanwhile, Fetterman – who's taken heat from his own party for refusing to bow to woke orthodoxy – recognized that Mullin represents exactly the kind of no-nonsense leadership we need at Homeland Security.
"This isn't about party politics," one source close to the committee told reporters. "This is about whether we're serious about border security or not."
The irony is almost too much to handle. Democrats are supposed to be the party of open borders and sanctuary cities, yet here's Fetterman doing what's right for America while Paul plays political games that could have derailed Trump's immigration agenda.
America First Wins Again
This victory shows that Trump's America First movement transcends traditional party lines. When politicians put the American people ahead of partisan politics, good things happen. Fetterman just proved that even some Democrats can recognize strong leadership when they see it.
The question now is whether other Democrats will follow Fetterman's lead, or if they'll continue marching in lockstep with their party's radical open-borders agenda. And more importantly – will Republicans finally hold RINOs like Rand Paul accountable for undermining President Trump at every turn?
