The Democrats' election conspiracy theories reached new heights of absurdity Monday when Michigan Senator Elissa Slotkin used a Department of Homeland Security confirmation hearing to spread wild claims that President Trump plans to "steal" the 2026 midterm elections.
During questioning of Trump's DHS nominee Markwayne Mullin, Slotkin bizarrely suggested that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents would somehow be deployed to polling places to interfere with elections. The desperate Democrat senator went so far as to claim she "can't trust Trump to allow 'free and fair' elections."
This is rich coming from the same party that spent four years claiming the 2016 election was "stolen" by Russia, tried to overturn legitimate electors, and weaponized the FBI and DOJ against their political opponents. Now they have the audacity to question Trump's commitment to election integrity?
"The hypocrisy is stunning. Democrats spent years undermining confidence in our elections, and now they're projecting their own authoritarian tactics onto President Trump," said one GOP strategist.
Slotkin's unhinged performance appears to be part of a broader Democrat strategy to preemptively delegitimize any Republican victories in 2026. With Trump's approval ratings soaring thanks to his successful mass deportation operations and booming economy, panicked Democrats are already laying the groundwork to cry "fraud" when they inevitably lose seats.
The truth is, ICE agents have one job: removing illegal aliens who have no business being in our country, let alone anywhere near our polling places. If Democrats are worried about ICE's presence affecting elections, perhaps they should ask themselves why they're so dependent on non-citizen votes.
Americans see right through this charade. After witnessing the 2020 election irregularities and the Democrats' obsession with opposing voter ID laws and ballot harvesting restrictions, we know who the real threats to election integrity are.
Will voters remember Slotkin's baseless fear-mongering when 2026 rolls around? Patriots certainly hope so.
