Senate Republicans delivered a crushing blow to Democrats on Wednesday, standing united behind President Trump as the left's latest attempt to handcuff America's military response to Iranian aggression went down in flames.

In a predictable display of weakness, Democrats led by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ) forced a vote on a resolution designed to constrain Trump's ongoing military campaign against the Iranian regime. The result? A humiliating defeat that exposed just how out of touch the radical left remains with America's national security needs.

Only Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) broke ranks to support the Democrats' anti-war resolution – a move that once again highlights his troubling pattern of undermining Republican unity when America faces foreign threats. Every other GOP senator recognized what patriots across the nation understand: when Iran threatens American interests, we don't tie our president's hands with congressional micromanagement.

Democrats Playing Politics While Iran Plots

This wasn't Booker's first rodeo trying to sabotage Trump's foreign policy. The New Jersey Democrat has made a career out of opposing strong American leadership abroad, preferring the weak-kneed diplomacy that allowed Iran to flourish under the disastrous Biden regime.

"The American people elected President Trump to restore peace through strength, not to bow down to the ayatollahs in Tehran," said one senior Republican aide. "These Democrats learned nothing from Biden's catastrophic foreign policy failures."

The failed vote demonstrates that Republicans have learned the lessons of the past – appeasing Iran only emboldens their terrorist activities across the Middle East.

While Democrats waste time with symbolic gestures and virtue signaling, Trump continues delivering the strong leadership that kept America safe during his first term. Iran's mullahs understand only one language: strength. And unlike his predecessor, Trump speaks that language fluently.

The question now is whether Democrats will finally get serious about supporting America's interests abroad, or continue their shameful pattern of undermining our commander-in-chief while enemies plot against us. Based on Wednesday's performance, don't hold your breath.

Can someone explain what specific provisions were in this resolution? I want to understand exactly what the Dems were trying to push through before celebrating too much.

Finally! Senate Republicans showing some backbone and standing with our President. This so-called 'anti-war' resolution was nothing but another attempt by Democrats to undermine Trump's foreign policy strength.

Exactly right! Peace through strength has always been the conservative way.
