In a shocking admission on MSNBC's weekend programming, the Oregon Democrat openly declared war on ICE, calling America's immigration enforcement officers "secret police" while vowing not to give "a penny more" to border security.
"We don't want to give a penny more to ICE. That's our position, because ICE has become secret police," Merkley declared, using language straight out of the radical left's playbook. The senator also accused Republicans of wanting to "shut down DHS" – a desperate talking point as President Trump's mass deportation agenda gains momentum across the country.
This is the same unhinged rhetoric we've heard from the squad and other America-Last Democrats who want open borders at any cost. Calling ICE agents – the brave men and women risking their lives to protect American communities from dangerous criminals – "secret police" is not just insulting, it's downright dangerous.

Merkley's meltdown comes as President Trump's second-term immigration agenda is already showing results. With strong leadership from DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and the full backing of the Republican-controlled government, ICE operations are ramping up nationwide to remove dangerous criminals and those who've violated our immigration laws.
"The American people voted for law and order, not the chaos and criminality that Democrats like Merkley want to protect," said one Trump administration official familiar with the deportation operations.
While Trump works to secure our borders and protect American families, Democrats like Merkley are literally trying to defund the very agencies keeping us safe. They'd rather protect criminal aliens than law-abiding American citizens – and they're not even trying to hide it anymore.
