VICTORY FOR OUR TROOPS: SecDef Hegseth Signs Directive Giving National Guard FULL Active Duty Benefits

President Trump is keeping his promises to the troops – and this time, it's the National Guard getting the recognition they've earned on the front lines of America's fight to restore law and order.

During remarks on Monday, President Trump announced that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth has signed a directive providing full active duty benefits to National Guard soldiers deployed as part of the administration's ongoing law enforcement operations in Tennessee, Washington, New Orleans, and along the U.S.-Mexico border.

"The same benefits as active duty, because you deserve it," Trump declared to the audience.

Finally, A Commander-in-Chief Who Respects Our Guardsmen

Let that sink in, patriots. For years under the Biden regime, National Guard troops were treated like second-class soldiers – called up to serve, put in harm's way, and then shortchanged on the benefits they rightfully earned. Remember when Biden's Pentagon left Guardsmen sleeping in freezing parking garages during his inauguration? That disrespect was just the tip of the iceberg.

Now, under President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, these brave Americans are finally being treated with the dignity their service demands. Whether they're securing our southern border against the flood of illegal crossings or supporting law enforcement in American cities plagued by crime, these soldiers will receive every benefit their active duty counterparts enjoy.

This Is What 'America First' Looks Like

The Trump administration isn't just talking about supporting the troops – they're putting it in writing with official directives. This move recognizes the reality on the ground: these Guardsmen aren't doing weekend training exercises. They're engaged in serious operations to protect American communities and enforce our nation's laws.

While the left screams about the use of military resources to secure our own country, President Trump is focused on two things: getting the job done and taking care of the people doing it.

That's leadership, folks. That's what Americans voted for in November 2024, and that's exactly what they're getting.

The question isn't whether this directive was the right call – it obviously was. The question is: why did it take until Trump's second term for someone to finally do right by our National Guard?

About time we had a SecDef who actually understands what our citizen soldiers sacrifice! Hegseth gets it - these Guard members leave their families and civilian jobs to serve just like everyone else.

FINALLY! My son serves in the National Guard and has been deployed twice overseas doing the exact same job as active duty soldiers but getting treated like second-class citizens when it comes to benefits. This is long overdue and exactly what we need to support ALL our warriors.

Same here! My daughter did a 15-month deployment to Afghanistan with her Guard unit and came back to basically nothing compared to what active duty gets. Thank God for leaders who actually fight for our troops.
